Week 1, Module 1 Framework and Standards:

An introduction to cloud computing technology history, standards and terminology grounded in the framework introduced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Week 2, Module 2 Technology Dive in:

An in-depth overview of cloud computing starting with the introduction of containerization, orchestration of the containers and microservices, to the full-scale high-level cloud computing technology capabilities that organizations can leverage.

Week 3, Module 3 Vendors and Decision-Making:

A review of vendor-specific cloud computing technology, including the portfolios of tech giants AWS, Google, Microsoft, and IBM, within the context of enterprise architecture.

Week 4, Module 4: Cloud Implementation – Public Cloud

Although public cloud is deemed the most cost effective, many organizations are reluctant to move mission critical workload to a public cloud. This module will address key questions such as what is a mission critical workload? How do you select a public cloud vendor? What are the steps for migrating applications to public cloud?

Week 5, Module 5: Cloud Implementation – Hybrid Cloud

Many organizations have a mix of public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises implemented in their enterprise architecture, i.e. hybrid cloud, a more complex cloud computing environment. Examine the driving forces and considerations when it comes to making the next cloud decision.
